My brother Dennis Morgan is desperately ill, unable to work, and needs help.
Dennis is a truck driver and had a seizure while driving in early January. Fortunately, the truck rolled safely to the side of the road before he blacked out.
Many hospitalizations and several severe seizures later, he was assessed at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and had fractures in his vertebrae repaired that were damaged during the seizures. He has small cell lung cancer, which will be a tough road ahead, but not as bad as having a recurrence of non-small cell lung cancer, which is what the doctors were initially expecting.
Dennis had lung cancer and part of one lung removed in 2009. At that time, my dad and I teamed up and split the cost of his transportation to Houston for treatment and the basic necessities that short-term disability could not cover.
Unfortunately, our dad passed away last year, and I just cannot do this all by myself. So I'm asking you to stand with me and help all you can. No donation is too small or too large, and every thought, every prayer, counts.
Because of the seizures, Dennis will never be able to return to truck driving and may not ever be cleared to drive again at all. His wife Dorothy works two part-time jobs, one as a school bus driver and the other as a teacher's assistant. It will be difficult for her to stay employed with all the care that he is going to need.
Thank you in advance for your help during this difficult time. Updates can be found in the NEWS section of this website.
